January 10 – Start of the novena
The celebrations began with a visit to the simulacrum at the “Paolo Borsellino” Hospital, where a mass was celebrated and a blessing was given to the sick. In the afternoon, confessions, the Holy Rosary and Holy Mass were held at the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Cava.
January 11-15 – Prayer and liturgy
Every day, in the morning, the recitation of the dialect Rosary, the Liturgy of Lauds and Holy Mass took place. In the afternoon, confessions, the Rosary and Mass. The evening celebrations were presided over by Father Mile Misic of the Franciscan Fraternity of Bethany
January 17 – Concert “Una voce per Maria”
At 9:00 pm, in the Mother Church, the concert “Una voce per Maria” was held with the participation of the “Città di Marsala” band

At 9:15 pm, at the Teatro Impero, the group “The Women’s Choir” presented the concert “Virgin Mary”, with songs that touched on themes of peace, brotherhood and hospitality.
January 19 – Solemnity of the Madonna della Cava
Holy Masses: celebrated in the Sanctuary at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00.
11:30 am: Solemn Holy Mass in the Mother Church, presided over by Don Marco Renda, with the presence of the Municipal Police and the city authorities
3:30 pm: Procession of the simulacrum of the Madonna della Cava, starting from the Sanctuary and passing through the main streets of the city, with a stop in front of the Town Hall for the act of entrustment of the city by the Mayor
